BUTCHERS IN MINEHEAD

STUART LOWEN QUALITY BUTCHERS IS A FAMILY-RUN BUTCHER IN MINEHEAD

Operating from the Farm Shop in Hawksworth Road, we are noted for supplying quality fresh meat, poultry, game, sausages and bacon

We source our meat from the best local suppliers whenever possible, we are very particular about quality and animal welfare. Some of our lamb comes from our own farm, raised within Exmoor National Park, not far from Minehead.

Having sourced meat of the finest quality, we then do our very best to offer a service to match! Stuart will often be on the counter in the butchers, but if not, one of our highly skilled members of the team will be able to help. Pop in to see what we have available and our latest special offers.

If you have a special occasion coming up that you want Stuart Lowen to provide the meat for, please get in touch to discuss your requirements. We don’t use pre-packaged portions so you can order just what you need! Give us a call, or send an email with your enquiry.

No matter what you buy from Stuart Lowen you can be sure you will be receiving meat of the highest quality which is prepared to the highest standards - and that’s our guarantee.

The Butchers Counter

Stuart Lowen Butchers is well-known for supplying quality meat, poultry, game, sausages and bacon. Whether you are looking for a joint of meat for the Sunday roast, steaks for a special occasion, mince for a mid-week meal, or bacon and sausages for a fry up - call in to see the full selection of meat at the counter.

We also have some cooked meat items, including delicious pies; steak and ale, steak and kidney or chicken and ham - just heat and serve for a delicious meal.

In keeping with our aim to reduce plastic waste, we now use paper bags at the butchers counter. These printed bags are as functional as they are eye-catching; fridge and freezer safe, re-sealable, and lined with a moisture-resistant food grade material which makes the bags durable and leak-proof! We think they are a fantastic alternative to serving meat in plastic bags. Of course, you are also welcome to bring your own containers from home.

Stuart went out to meet Jess, from The Red Larder, who farms locally to find out more about the local grass-fed beef that she supplies to the shop. It was very interesting to learn more about the regenerative farming techniques.
